Talk session with OREX PARTNERS about the establishment of the joint venture "OREX SAI" on the Broadcast Stage at MWC Barcelona 2024.

Sadayuki Abeta (head of Open RAN at NTT DOCOMO) spoke at the Broadcast Stage of MWC Barcelona 2024.
In the first half, Abeta gave a keynote speech followed by a talk session with OREX PARTNERS (Amazon Web Services, Red Hat, VMware by Broadcom, Wind River), where each company shared their thoughts on the virtualization infrastructure, an important role in OREX.

In the second half, Hiroshi Kobayashi　announced the establishment of “OREX SAI,” a joint venture with NEC, that will provide OREX Packages globally. (Scheduled to be established in April 2024) Mr. Kobayashi will be the new CEO (currently the Managing Executive Officer, General Manager of NTT DOCOMO Network Division,) Yoshitaka Hiramoto will be the CSO (currently the Executive officer of NTT DOCOMO Global Business Department,) Sadayuki Abeta will be the CTO (currently NTT DOCOMO’s OREX Evangelist,) and Yoshihiro Shiraishi will be the COO (currently the Director of NEC 5G Sales & Marketing of Global 5G Business Division.) A photo session was held with the above four people.

Through OREX SAI, we will further collaborate with our OREX Partners to promote and propel commercialization. We promise to contribute to the realization of "True Open RAN” that enables interconnection with equipment and systems from all vendors.
